The fire ..!
Tragically, on the night of June 18, 2015, a fire broke out under the roof. Due to the historic building being primarily made of wood, the fire spread very quickly, with flames reaching 10 to 12 meters.
After the fire ...
We lost everything. It was a desperate situation. All the furniture, documents, clothing, and memories of three generations were reduced to ashes. The water damage caused while trying to contain the fire also contributed significantly to the destruction.
But we didn't give up !
It took us five years to rise from the ashes, with careful planning due to the historic nature of the site, securing funding, and undertaking reconstruction and restoration, which took more than two years.
